Tata Motors (Tata Motors) is now in high demand in the passenger car market. That is why they are building new precedents one after another. Tata proudly announced the news of making 10 lakh cars from Sanandar factory in Gujarat, beating its competitors. To commemorate the moment, the organization brought a picture with the workers and officials.
Tata Motors has touched a new milestone
In October 2018, Tata announced the roll out of the 5 lakhth vehicle at its Sanand manufacturing facility. After five and a half years, they touched another new milestone. Sanand plant was built in 2010. The factory is located on 1,100 acres of land. Of this, 741 acres belong to Tata Motors, while the remaining 359 acres are allotted to their vendors.
Tata Sanand’s factories employ more than 6000 workers directly and indirectly. All of whom have been instrumental in Tata’s growth in the passenger vehicle market. Being one of the newest factories of the company, it has advanced technology. Highly mechanized system is present with press line, well shop, paint shop, assembly line and powertrain shop.
Several passenger vehicles are manufactured from Sanand’s assembly line. Like – Tata Tiago, Tiago AMT, Tiago.ev, Tiago CNG, Tigor, Tigor AMT, Tigor EV, Tigor iCNG and XPRES-T EV. According to the company, their factory has been converted into a multi-model plant.
Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director of Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd said, “We are very proud to have rolled out the 10 lakhth vehicle from the factory in Sanand. This plant continues to play a special role in the development of the company by catering to the needs of the automotive market in India.” He did not forget to thank all the company’s employees, suppliers, channel partners and the Gujarat government.
