A superbike is a combination of blazing speed, comprehensive style and sophisticated features. Buying this bike is the dream of many people. One of the big names in this world is Brabus. Another prominent company in the segment is KTM. The two companies jointly launched the first motorcycle in 2022. Named – Brabus 1300 R. It was based on the supercharged model KTM 1290 Super Duke R. Last year the new version of Brabus 1300 R was launched. This time the two companies are going to jointly bring the Brabus 1400 R to the market. The biggest surprise surrounds the engine.
The Brabus 1400 R is coming to the market
The Brabus 1400 is going to be based on the KTM 1390 Super Duke R (Evo). So it will use the engine of the said model of KTM. Brabus has already filed a trademark for the name. It is known that this bike will appear in the market in multiple variants. The variants are – Brabus 1400 R Signature, Brabus 1400 R Tailor Made and Brabus 1400 R Rocket.
For a long time, Brabus has kept itself out of two-wheeler engine tuning. So the Brabus 1400 R is powered by the 1390 Super Duke range of engines. This 1,350 cc powertrain produces 190 hp of power at 10,000 rpm and 145 Nm of torque at 8,000 rpm.
Even this Brabus bike is using KTM’s chassis. These include tubular frame made of chrome molybdenum steel, aluminum single sided swing arm and semi active control components of WP suspension. Talking about the design, the Brabus 1400 R gets spherical LED headlights, top spec components made of carbon fiber.
This superbike may be introduced in the market by the end of 2024. It is known that it will appear in limited edition. Again this model will be more expensive than KTM 1390. Neither KTM nor Brabus, however, has yet to officially announce anything from either company. Speculations are rife that this bike might use the new KTM LC8 platform.
