Because Airtel Payments Bank launched a smartwatch supporting National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) technology in collaboration with Noise and National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) at the Global FinTech Fest 2024 event. The Airtel Payments Bank smartwatch has an integrated Rupay chip, which will allow the user to make payments directly from the watch. It was launched as a payment – ​​fitness solution.

Features and Specifications of Airtel Payments Bank Smartwatch

The Airtel Payments Bank smartwatch features an embedded Rupay chip on the dial, allowing you to make quick payments. It comes with NCMC integration, through which tap and pay transactions can be done. As a result, users can make payments on metro, bus, parking and other places directly from the smartwatch. Contactless payments can also be made from Airtel Payments Bank Smartwatch.

Transactions up to Rs.5000 without PIN

According to Airtel, users can pay up to 5,000 rupees at the contactless terminal through the smartwatch without entering the PIN. However, if you want to pay more than this amount, you will have to give a PIN.

The new Airtel Payments Bank smartwatch comes with several health and fitness tracking features including blood-oxygen saturation (SpO2), body temperature, heart rate and BP monitor. The company says it supports 130 sports modes and 150 cloud-based watchfaces.

The Airtel Payments Bank Smartwatch comes with Bluetooth calling support and is IP68 rated. Airtel says it features a TFT LCD screen with 550 nits peak brightness. Like other smartwatches, it can also display notifications, call reminders and messages. According to the company, the Airtel Payments Bank smartwatch can last up to 10 days on a full charge.
