Because now Indian Railways provides facility to book general train tickets through UTS App. Local tickets can also be canceled through this app.
Now you can book general tickets from anywhere through mobile phone. Where earlier the maximum distance limit for general ticket booking through UTS app was 20 km. Let's know how to book and cancel general tickets through UTS app.

Step 1: First download UTS app on mobile.
Step 2: Now register with your name, mobile number, ID card information.
Step 3: After registering on UTS app, an OTP will be sent to the mobile number. By entering this OTT you can sign up in the app.
Step 4: Now ID and password will be sent to your registered mobile number. Through which you can login to UTS app.
Step 5: Now you have to enter the name of the station after choosing the type of ticket you want to book.
Step 6: Then click on Next and Get Fare and press the Book Ticket button. You can book tickets using many payment platforms including R-Wallet / UPI / Net Banking / Card.
Step 7: Now the ticket will be visible in the app.
How to cancel local ticket through UTS App?
Step 1: Go to UTS app and log in. Then click on 'Cancel' button.
Step 2: After that, a new page will open in front of you where all tickets for cancellation will be displayed. A cancellation charge of Tk 30 will be charged if the ticket is cancelled. If you have purchased a ticket for less than Rs.30 then that ticket will not be shown here. Because you cannot cancel that ticket. Now click on 'Cancel Ticket' button displayed in this window.
Step 3: Now the app will ask you to confirm the ticket cancellation. Now you have to press OK. After deducting the cancellation charges, the refund amount will be displayed in a small pop-up box.
