Tata Motors today announced that the sales of its SUV crossed 20 lakh units. Punch, Harrier, Safari (new and old versions), and Sierra have played a major role in setting the company precedent. Tata launched Sierra as their first SUV in 1991. In 2014, they brought the country's first compact SUV, the Nexon. And in 2021, the company's journey into the sub-compact SUV segment started with Punch.
In celebration of this new milestone, Tata is offering a huge discount on the car's price for buyers. The price of the Harrier model now starts at Rs 14.99 lakh (ex-showroom). On the other hand, the price of the Safari SUV starts at Rs 15.49 lakh. A maximum discount of Rs 1.40 lakh is available on selected variants of the two cars.
Besides, the Tata Nexon EV is running benefits of up to Rs 1.3 lakh. A discount of Rs 30,000 is also available on the Punch EV model. These two cars have recently received a five star safety rating from India NCAP. Harrier and Safari also got five star rating in India NCAP's crash test. Tata currently has the highest number of five star safety rated vehicles in its portfolio.
