Punjabi teen spends whopping Rs 2 lakh on Pubg in-app purchases

The 15-year-old boy from Punjab secretly spends whopping Rs 2 lakh on PUBG in-app purchases from his grandfather’s PayTM account. The boy made 30 payments from the past two months, the total of which comes to Rs 55,000.

Recently, A 15-year-old boy from Mohali has spent Rs 2 lakh on the PUBG in App transaction just to buy premium costumes, skins, Royal pass, and more. As per the report, he used his grandfather’s PayTM account to complete the game purchases. He reportedly used his grandfather’s documents to verify all the PayTM security measures and process payments. After that, he buys UC (Unknown Cash used in PUBG to buy premium skins and items) from the PUBG store.


The family identified about this when they ran a routine check on the grandfather’s bank account statement, they found that boy has made 30 transactions in the past two months. After questioning the boy revealed that he spent more than Rs 2 lakh on PUBG Mobile. He was trained by his school senior to make discreet payments through his grandfather’s bank account. A complaint has now been sent by the boy’s family against the senior, seems like the boy also gave some money to the senior for purchasing UC.


The boy uncle said, “Earlier when we used to find some cash missing from our wallets, we did not pay much heed to the boy”. The teenage uncle also said that he bought a special SIM card just to play the game.


Earlier, a 17-year-old boy also from Punjab has spent a total amount of 16 lakh on PUBG, He used his parent’s bank accounts to make the in-app transaction, and the family told that the money spent was saved up for medical emergencies.
