Popular social media company Meta has launched a new microblogging app called Threads. In this app, users will get Twitter-like interface and features. They can even sign up or login here with their Instagram account. The Threads app is now live for all users. Notably, it is expected to compete directly with social media site Twitter.
Meta has been working on this Threads app for a long time. It is currently live for both Android and iOS users. If users already have an Instagram account, they can sign up for this app. Users no longer have to go through a lengthy process to create an account. The interface of this new app is inspired by Instagram and its features are similar to Twitter.
How to download Threads App?
The Threads app is listed on the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store. From where it can be downloaded directly. After going to Play Store or App Store, search by writing Threads by Instagram in the search window. You will then see a list of many apps, including Threads, an Instagram App to download. The icon of this app resembles the “@” symbol and is developed by Instagram.
How to setup the Threads app?
After downloading the Threads app, as soon as you open it, you will be given the option to login with Instagram. If you already have an Instagram account, after a single tap and approval your login will be complete and you will be asked to setup the profile. If you want, you can setup the account here with the data used in Instagram profile bio and link. Finally by tapping on ‘Join Threads’ option you can start using this app.
Is Threads Going to Be a Twitter Alternative?
Elon Musk has made a lot of changes since buying Twitter, which many users didn’t like.
