Xiaomi launched its first electric car, the Xiaomi SU7, last March. Critics also questioned the extent to which Xiaomi, known mainly for smartphones, would succeed in the world of automobiles. Now that their fears are not unfounded, it is becoming clear in the complaints of the buyers. The Xiaomi SU7 has been in the news headlines for several issues within a few months of its launch. Several users have already complained about the glitch. Recently, it was reported that Xiaomi's car broke down after driving only 39 km.
Users having problems with Xiaomi SU7
One person complained that his bright blue Xiaomi SU7 stalled on the highway with a stop warning on the display. Shifting between drive and reverse is also broken. A truck was forced to be called to tow the car. After taking it to the delivery center the mechanics there failed to fix it. Currently the vehicle has been sent to the factory for re-examination.
The buyer of that car requested the company to replace the old model with a new Xiaomi SU7. In response, Xiaomi clarified that every model of the assembled car has been sold. So it is impossible to give him a new car. Instead, the company is working to refund the full price of the car. The company has even said that it is ready to pay compensation.
The recent incident raises questions about the quality of the Xiaomi SU7. Some buyers have reported problems with the car's paint. Others have complained about the traction control. Xiaomi has also acknowledged the glitches in the automatic emergency braking system. After crossing 135 km/hr it stops working.
Xiaomi has already produced more than 10,000 models of the SU7. Incidentally, Xiaomi SU7 is available in four trims – Entry level version, Pro variant, Max version and limited Founders edition. The top end version has a top speed of 265 kmph. It can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 2.78 seconds. It runs 810 km on a full charge.
