Ever since the launch of the Tata Nexon facelift, the Indian SUV has created a frenzy in the world of cars. Which helped the car once again to be named the best-selling SUV model. This time the model proved itself in the court of the world as a safe car. This sub-four meter compact SUV model has won a 5-star rating in Global NCAP’s crash test.
Tata Nexon facelift received 5-star rating
The Tata Nexon facelift fared well with 32.22 out of 34 points for adult passengers and 44.52 out of 49 for child passengers. In 2018, the first generation model of the Nexon became the first Indian car to win a five-star rating from GNCAP. From the beginning it had side impact protection doors.
The Nexon facelift has also done well in providing head and neck protection for the driver and passengers. Again, the car is sufficiently protected for the chest and legs of the driver and passengers. It is capable of withstanding large frontal or side impacts. Important features present in the Tata Nexon facelift include six airbags, an electronic stability program, ISOFIX mounts, rear parking sensors, tilt and collapsible steering, central locking and hill hold control. Mohan Savarkar, Chief Product Officer, Passenger Vehicles, Tata Motors said, “It was the first car in the country to achieve a five-star rating from GNCAP. Since then every one of our cars has been getting 5-stars.”
