Hero MotoCorp surprises on Valentine’s Day. As expected, the new premium motorcycle Hero Mavrick 440, unveiled at the beginning of the year, has now launched in the Indian market. There are three variants to choose from – Base, Mid and Top. They are priced at Rs 1.99 lakh, Rs 2.14 lakh and Rs 2.24 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively. Interested buyers can book the bike online or from Hero dealerships.
Along with the new motorcycle launch, Hero has announced the “Welcome to Maverick Club Offer”. Under this there are attractive offers for buyers. Buyers who book the Hero Mavrick 440 before March 15 will get Mavrick kit accessories and merchandise worth Rs 10,000. Hero has announced delivery of the new motorcycle from April.
The bike is based on the Harley-Davidson X440. Design features on the Mavrick 440 include a spherical LED projector headlamp with H-shaped DRLs, muscular fuel tank and extended shroud. The rear has a beefed-up tail section with LED taillights, scoop-out and single-piece seat setup.
The Mavrick 440 features, as hardware, 43mm telescopic front fork and 7-step rear twin shock absorbers. This bike will run if it is 17 inches. Its physical weight is 187 kg (alloy wheels) and 191 kg (spoke wheels). Fuel tank capacity is 13.5 litres. Ground clearance is 175mm and seat height is 803mm. 320 mm front and 240 mm rear disc brakes are provided to handle the braking duties.
Hero Mavrick 440 is offered in three color options. The base variant has spoke wheels and arctic white color options. The mid variant is available in two colors – Celestial Blue and Fearless Red – with alloy wheels. While the top variant is available with alloy wheels and Phantom Black and Enigma Black colors.
In terms of features, key features on the Hero Mavrick 440 include all LED lighting, full digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity, turn by turn navigation, call and message alerts, a USB-C charging port and slipper clutch. The power source is a 440 cc, oil-cooled engine, which is also found in the Harley-Davidson X440. It produces 27 bhp at 6,000 rpm and 36 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. Mated to the engine is a 6-speed gearbox and a slip and assist clutch.
