Suzuki launched the V-Strom 800DE adventure motorcycle in the international market in November last year. This model is going to come to India as well. Increasing speculation, the bike was spotted during testing on Indian roads. The two-wheeler will come with a powerful parallel twin engine. It will be positioned above the V-Strom 650 XT in Suzuki’s lineup in the country.
Suzuki V-Strom 800DE: Engine
The Suzuki V-Strom 800DE will be powered by a 776 cc liquid cooled, parallel twin engine. From which the maximum power of 84 bhp and 78 Nm of torque will be generated. It features a 20 liter fuel tank, which is ideal for touring. You can safely travel long distances by keeping a lot of oil stored at once. The bike comes with a bi-directional quickshifter.
Suzuki V-Strom 800DE: Hardware
Talking about the hardware, the Suzuki V-Strom 800DE gets 21/17 inch wire spoke wheels, 310mm front and 260mm rear disc brakes. It will be offered as accessories such as crash protection, auxiliary lights, wide windscreen etc. The bike has 220mm of suspension travel with 220mm of ground clearance. The seat height of this 220 kg motorcycle is 855 km from the ground.
Suzuki V-Strom 800DE: Electronics
The motorcycle has a separate gravel mode. As a result, the bike will show agility even on rough roads. Additionally, it features a 5.0-inch color TFT dash with USB charging port, dual-channel ABS system. Rear ABS can be turned off again. The price of Suzuki V-Strom 800DE can be said for sure only after the launch.
