Hero MotoCorp’s e-scooter has come into the market in an attractive form that everyone will look at when it comes out on the road

India’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer Hero MotoCorp currently has only one electric scooter in its possession. That is – Hero Vida V1. This time Hero has announced the launch of their e-scooter in new colors. From now on you can choose between attractive cyan and black colors. Until now the V1 Plus Valiant was only available in white and red and the V1 Pro trim in white, red and orange. New additions to that list are cyan and black. Hero hopes the new paint scheme will catch the eye of anyone on the road. Specifically, the cyan color.

Hero launched Vida V1 Pro and Vida V1 Plus with new color scheme

Hero MotoCorp has recently been forced to hike the price of its only electric scooter by Rs 6,000 due to government cuts in subsidies. Currently, Vida V1 is priced starting at Rs 1,45,900 (ex-showroom). Again in Delhi, Ahmedabad, Surat and Vadodara the starting price is Rs 1,25,900 (ex-showroom). This price includes the FEM-2 subsidy and the cost of the portable charger.

The Union Ministry of Heavy Industries has recently reduced the subsidy from 40 per cent to 15 per cent under the FEM-II scheme. It has been implemented across the country since June. As a result, the maximum subsidy of Rs 32,000 per model of electric two-wheeler has been reduced. Hero, however, has shouldered most of the subsidy cut to reduce pressure on consumers. Hero shared what little there was with the buyers.

Hero Vida V1 Pro and Vida V1 Plus: Battery, Range and Motor

A 3.94 kWh battery pack is present in the Hero Vida V1 Pro. It takes 5 hours and 55 minutes to charge from 0-80 percent. Hero claims that the scooter actually provides a range of 110 km on a full charge. It has a 6 kW electric motor, with an output of 3.9 kW. With a top speed of 80 kmph, the scooter can accelerate from 0-50 kmph in 3.2 seconds.

On the other hand, the Hero Vida V1 Plus has a 3.44 KW battery pack. It takes 5 hours and 15 minutes to charge from 0-80%. The scooter can accelerate from 0-50 km/h in 3.4 seconds. Hero claims that it gives a real range of 100 km on a full charge. Power and torque are the same as the Pro variant.
