Royal Enfield has responded by bringing one motorcycle after another since last year. The Royal Enfield Scram 440 bike made its debut at the Motoverse event last November. And today, the company has officially announced the launch of this model. It is available in the country in two variants – Trail and Force. The first is the base model and priced at Rs 2.08 lakh. And the expensive trim will cost Rs 2.15 lakh (both prices are ex-showroom).
Royal Enfield Scram 440 Specifications and Features
Compared to the Scram 411, buyers will have to pay just Rs 1,300 more to buy the new Scram 440. The new model will get a bigger engine, more power, additional features, and new color options. The bike is powered by a 443 cc, air/oil-cooled engine, which is capable of producing 25.4 bhp at 6.250 rpm and 34 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm.
The higher displacement and additional gearing are expected to make the Royal Enfield Scram 411 touring friendly. The Trail variant rides on 19/17-inch spoke wheels with tube-type tyres. And the top-spec Force trim gets alloy wheels with tubeless tyres. Telescopic fork and monoshock take care of suspension on the bike. A disc brake is provided at both ends.
The Royal Enfield Scram 440 model is more or less similar in design to the Scram 411. A small cowl surrounds the round headlights. The fuel tank is quite large and the tail section is thin Special features include LED lighting, USB charger, semi digital console, tripper navigation system, switchable dual channel ABS, etc.
Royal Enfield's new Scrambler motorcycle will be available in Force Teal, Force Grey, Force Blue, Trail Green and Trail Blue color options. The bike rivals the Triumph Scrambler 400X and Yezdi Scrambler in the Indian market.
