Rahul Gandhi: ‘Can’t ride’, Rahul Gandhi regrets buying a KTM bike

Even though the main aim of life is politics, Rahul Gandhi has enough taste for bikes. The National Congress youth leader has the famous Austrian brand KTM 390 series of bikes in his collection. Which is known as very popular racing motorcycle among the young generation. However, due to work and security reasons, Rahul Gandhi could not run it. He recently went to Delhi’s Karol Bagh and regretted this.

In a video, Rahul Gandhi is seen at Delhi’s famous Karol Bagh market. He is also seen repairing motorcycles with the mechanics in a shop there. Cinema and politics heavyweights’ penchant for luxury cars regularly make headlines. But there is no example of a politician’s love for two-wheelers.

Rahul Gandhi said that the bodyguards did not allow him to go out with the KTM 390 motorcycle because of security concerns. Due to which dust is starting to accumulate on the bike in the garage. He said, “I have a KTM 390. It is lying at home. Because my bodyguard advised me not to run for safety reasons.”

While Rahul Gandhi has a variant of the KTM 390, nothing is known about it. Currently the company has three models with this 390 cc engine – 390 Duke, RC390 and 390 Adventure. These belong to the Naked, Supersport and Adventure Tourer categories respectively. KTM 390 Duke is priced at Rs 2,97,475 (ex-showroom). It is powered by a 373.27 cc single cylinder, liquid cooled, DOHC engine. Which produces 43.5 PS of power at 9,000 rpm and 37 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm. This same engine is also used in the RC 390 and 390 Adventure models.
