Plug In Hydrogen EV: Won’t stop even when the fuel runs out, Honda created a stir by bringing a new car

Apart from being an environmental polluter, petrol-diesel also bears the brunt of the fire price infamy. As an alternative, electric vehicles have come to the market. This time, hydrogen is also being used as a fuel by various companies as a guide to the future. According to experts, at some point the majority of car users will go to the pump and not petrol-diesel, but charge the battery or fill up with environmentally friendly fuel like hydrogen. The proof of how true the saying is was found in hand. Honda has taken the wraps off America’s first plug-in hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicle. Named CR-V e:FCEV. It is basically a hydrogen fuel cell version of the CRV SUV. What is the specialty of the car, let’s know.

Honda CR-V e:FCEV Details

This is the first plug-in hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicle to be sold in the US market. The company claims that it will provide a range of 434 km. Again, the car is able to travel 47 km only with the help of battery.

The CR-V e:FCEV has a slightly different design than the ICE version. It features sleek looking head lamps and a less wide up front grille. The design of the front bumper has also been changed. There is a larger air intake system than before. A significant change is the missing rear exhaust.

Inside, the CR-V e:FCEV has almost identical features to its standard version. Notable features include a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, 9-inch HD touchscreen, which will support wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other features include wireless phone charging, a 12-speaker Bose premium audio system, power adjustable heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, dual-zone climate control.

The hydrogen-powered Honda CR-V features a pair of hydrogen tanks. It is located under the rear seat, to transmit power to the fuel cell unit. From this the power is transmitted to the electric motor. A 17.7 kWh battery is present on the floor of this vehicle. The powertrain will generate 172 bhp of power and 310 mm of torque. Honda has not said anything about whether the car will come to India.
