For buyers who prefer a stylish two-wheeler, Yamaha is always on the move. The company is going to bring new models so that the enthusiasm of the buyers does not fall. It is a maxi scooter. Name – Yamaha Nmax 155. It was unveiled at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2024. Recently, the interest of buyers towards maxi scooters is increasing in the Indian market. This is because of their futuristic style, advanced features and formidable power.

The Nmax 155 is based on the platform of the company’s very popular maxi scooty Aerox 155. Yamaha plans to launch it in India by the end of 2024 or the beginning of 2025. Here are five highlights of the Yamaha Nmax 155 in this report.

Design

Visually the Yamaha Nmax 155 is a true maxi scooter. The size is quite large. The wide front apron houses twin LED headlights. A tall windscreen in black, which adds a new dimension to the design. Its central spine is eye-catching. There are surprises in the back and sides design as well.

Features

Nmax 155 comes with all the great features. The list includes all LED lights, remote boot release, and a digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity. As India’s first scooter, it may feature a dual-channel ABS setup.

the engine

At the heart of the scooter is a 155 cc liquid cooled, single cylinder engine. It will produce a maximum power of 14.9 bhp and 13.5 Nm of torque. Motor comes with CVT. This same engine is also present in Yamaha R15 and Aerox 155.

hardware

Talking about the hardware, the Yamaha Nmax 155 is based on an underbone chassis. Suspension includes telescopic front forks and rear shock absorbers. Its suspension is also expected to be more comfortable than the Aerox 155. This scooty will run if it is 13 inches. There are disc brakes on both sides.

Price and counterparty

The Yamaha Nmax 155 is expected to be priced between Rs 1.6 lakh and Rs 1.7 lakh (ex-showroom) post launch. Its competitors in the market are the Yamaha Aerox 155 and the upcoming Hero Xoom 160.
