However, after a long time, they are making a comeback in the country’s market with new enthusiasm. In this case, their new tool is electric vehicles. The once popular moped, the Luna, which was discontinued twenty years ago, is making its debut in an electric avatar. The new name will be e-Luna. Recently the pictures of the electric moped leaked and gave an idea about the design.
Kinetic e-Luna: Design and Counterparts
In terms of design, the moped still retains its old identity. The new model will come with a split seat configuration and an open floorboard. The storage space is also quite large. Besides, there is a front crash guard and rear grabrail. There will also be facilities for paddling. So that you don’t have to face the problem when the battery charge runs out. The Kinetic E-Luna will be launched against the TVS XOL 100 model.
Kinetic e-Luna: Specifications and Features
The special feature of the Kinetic E-Luna can be seen as an LCD display with Bluetooth connectivity. There are going to be square headlights, bulb indicators, taillights with bulb units to bring the classic look. Like other two-wheelers, the suspension will be handled by telescopic front forks and rear dual shocks. Drum brakes are present on both the wheels.
The moped can be useful for last-mile delivery. Since the price is cheap, it is assumed that there will not be many additional features. Battery or electric motor specifications are still unknown. However, it is believed that the maximum speed can be 50 km per hour. And the range can match around 75 km. The Kinetic e-Luna is expected to enter the Indian market later this year.
