Hero MotoCorp brings new range of 200-400 cc bikes, first model launch in March

Hero MotoCorp has earlier announced plans to enter the premium bike and electric two-wheeler segment in India. It is learned that the domestic two-wheeler maker is currently working on four new premium motorcycles. These will be brought in two categories – Core Premium and Upper Premium. The report claims that the core premium includes the full-faired Karizma XMR and a naked Street Fighter. Whereas a Streetfighter model will come under the upper premium. Let it be known that the recently launched X440 bike in collaboration with Harley-Davidson belongs to the upper premium segment.

Hero MotoCorp brings new premium bikes

Hero’s upcoming premium bikes will come with 200-400 cc engines. In fact, this step of Hero is considered to share the prestige of Royal Enfield in the segment. Meanwhile, the country’s largest two-wheeler company has set a target of opening more than 100 different showrooms for premium bikes by 2024 to expand its business.

According to sources, the second premium model will bring a 440 cc motorcycle as Hero. Speculation is rife that this is the 440 version of the Xtreme. Now about Hero’s new premium bike, sources claim that the new 440 cc model will be launched in March next year. which can be purchased from the company’s premium outlets along with the Harley-Davidson X440.

Hero is planning to launch the new model targeting the customers who love muscle bikes. It will offer comfortable riding position and ergonomics. The platform, equipment and engine will also be used in the upcoming model with the Harley-Davidson X440. But it will come with a different design and sub-frame.

Harley-Davidson X440’s single cylinder oil/air cooled engine will be used to provide the propulsion power. It produces 27 bhp of power at 6,000 rpm and 38 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. But it may have a different gear box. Hero’s upcoming premium bike is expected to be priced under Rs 2 lakh (ex-showroom).
