Xiaomi is rumored to soon launch the Xiaomi Mix Flip smartphone as its first flip-style handset in the Chinese market. Speculations about the phone have already started in the technology circles. And now the potential Xiaomi clamshell foldable smartphone has been spotted on the IMDA certification platform, confirming its global launch.

Xiaomi Mix Flip got IMDA certification

Xiaomi's upcoming clamshell phone with model number 2405CPX3DG has been listed in the database of IMDA certification site. The IMDA certification revealed that the smartphone will support Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Near Field Communication (NFC) communication in the global market. But apart from the model number, the certification did not reveal the name of the device or any other specifications. However, the brand's first flip phone is said to be called the Xiaomi Mix Flip.

Incidentally, this Xiaomi Mix Flip name was earlier found by an X (formerly known as Twitter) user named Erenkan Yilmaz in the IMEI database. On the other hand, the MySmartPrice publication team has spotted the satellite connectivity version of the smartphone with China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) certification. The smartphone has received approval from the China Compulsory (CCC), which confirms that it will support 67W fast charging.

Meanwhile, well-known tipster Digital Chat Station has already revealed that Xiaomi will launch this flip phone in China in the third quarter of this year. The tipster also added that the Xiaomi Mix Flip handset will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. It will have rectangular rear camera module and large cover display

The internal primary screen of the Xiaomi Mix Flip phone will offer a 1.5K resolution and is said to have a folding mechanism similar to the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 phone. The phone's rectangular camera module will feature a 50-megapixel OmniVision OV50E primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and a 60-megapixel OmniVision OV60A telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom.
