Bajaj Chetak 2901: Bajaj's Cheapest Electric Scooter Launched, Mileage 123 KM

Since the closure of the Centre's FAME II on electric vehicles from April, a majority of buyers are seen to be leaning towards cheaper two-wheeler models. As a result companies are taking turns bringing affordable models to the market. Bajaj Auto followed that path. The company today launched its cheapest electric scooter. Named Bajaj Chetak 2901. The price has been kept at Tk 95,998 (ex-showroom). Customers can buy it from June 15. The model will be available from the company's 500 authorized dealerships in India.

Bajaj Chetak 2901 is brought for daily commute. The company claims this e-scooter can travel 123 km on a full charge, and has a top speed of 63 km per hour. It has metal body, which is seen in very few scooters. There is no answer for staying intact for a long time. It can be purchased in Red, White, Black, Lime Yellow, and Ageo Blue color options.

Bajaj Chetak 2901 – Features

Bajaj Chetak 2901 features color digital console, alloy wheels and Bluetooth connectivity. Again, customers can increase the number of features if they want. How? TecPac for extra money will add more features. Such as hill hold, reverse, sport and economy modes, call and music control, follow me home lights and Bluetooth app connectivity.

Note that TecPac can be upgraded in every variant of Bajaj Chetak. As a result, the benefits of app connectivity, call management, music control, geo fencing and various riding modes will be available. Currently, the company will sell the 2901 model along with Bajaj Chetak Urban and Bajaj Chetak Premium.

Bajaj Chetak Urban and Chetak Premium models have 2.9kW and 3.2kW battery packs respectively. Their ranges are 113 km and 126 km. Top speed is 73 km per hour. Urban and Premium are priced at Rs 1.23 lakh and Rs 1.47 lakh respectively (ex-showroom). Currently Bajaj Chetak is the fourth best selling electric scooter in India.
