The same trend in the third year too, Xiaomi favors not changing anything, claims report

The standard model of Xiaomi’s number series basically comes with a compact form factor. However, next year’s Xiaomi 13 uses a 6.36-inch display, compared to the smaller 6.28-inch panel of the Xiaomi 12, which will launch in 2021. Launched last year, the Xiaomi 14 retains the same form factor, but with different specifications And now a reliable source has revealed that the company will use the same size panel in its next generation Xiaomi 15 as well.

The Xiaomi 15 will have the same 6.36-inch display as the previous generation

Well-known tipster Digital Chat Station claims that the upcoming Xiaomi 15 will sport a 6.36-inch flat display, similar to the last two years’ models. However, the tipster did not give any details about this screen. As the panels of the last two generations of the phone come with different specifications despite having the same dimensions, the display specifications of the Xiaomi 15 may also be different. Early reports indicated that the phone’s panel will incorporate Goodix’s single-point ultrasonic fingerprint solution.

Notably, the display of the current generation Xiaomi 14 offers a resolution of 2,670 x 1,200 pixels (1.5K) compared to the FullHD+ (1,080 x 2,400 pixels) resolution of the Xiaomi 13 launched in 2022. As a result, the new model’s screen is sharper. The new version has a higher pixel density of 460 ppi instead of the 414 ppi pixel density of the older device.

The screen of the latest Xiaomi 14 handset uses LTPO technology (1-120 Hz) and is capable of offering a maximum local peak brightness of 3,000 nits. Whereas, the older Xiaomi 13’s panel could only reach a local peak brightness level of 1,900 nits. However, both displays are capable of playing Dolby Vision content, but their specifications differ. Xiaomi 14 uses Corning Gorilla Glass Victus for protection, while Xiaomi 13 has Gorilla Glass 5 coating.

Notably, the new Xiaomi 15 is expected to enter mass production in September. The news is that the Xiaomi 15 will run on the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset. It may also include a larger battery than its predecessor.
