Motorola is set to launch the world’s first Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 smartphone with AI capabilities

Beating other brands, Lenovo has announced first that its sub-brand Motorola’s Moto X50 Ultra will be the first smartphone powered by Qualcomm’s new flagship Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. Besides, it will also reportedly focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI). Notably, the Moto X50 Ultra is also reported to be launched in the global market on April 3 as the Motorola Edge 50 Pro. Moto X50 Ultra/Motorola Edge 50 Pro Main Specifications and Features (Expected)

The rebranded version of the Moto X50 Ultra, aka the Motorola Edge 50 Pro, was recently spotted on a microsite that went live on Indian e-commerce platform, Flipkart, with the tagline “Launching Soon”. That means the phone is going to be launched in this country very soon. Besides, the microsite has also revealed some specifications and features of the phone.

Apart from the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8S Gen 3 chip, the phone is said to feature a 6.7-inch 1.5K pOLED (pOLED) panel with a 144Hz refresh rate, which will bring a “full range of real world colors” verified by Pantone. . Pantone is a global color language that helps specify, express and control color. The panel of Moto X50 Ultra/ Motorola Edge 50 Pro will support 2,000 nits peak brightness and HDR10+ and will come with 100% DCI-P3 color gamut rating and “SGS Eye Protection”.

The Moto X50 Ultra/Motorola Edge 50 Pro will feature a Pantone-verified 50-megapixel AI-powered “pro-grade camera” on the back. This will help capture ‘true-to-life’ or realistic images and videos in terms of colour. Also, the Motorola Edge 50 Pro will get features like AI-adaptive stabilization, auto-focus tracking, AI photo enhancement engine and tilt mode.

An earlier report revealed that the Moto X50 Ultra will pack a 4,500mAh battery, which can support 125W wired and 50W wireless charging. The global version of the phone will be available in three different color options – Black, Purple and Silver. Earlier the phone was expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, as its predecessor Motorola Edge 40 Pro came with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. However, the company has now confirmed that the Moto X50 Ultra will come with the newly unveiled Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. Hence, its rebranded model, the Motorola Edge 50 Pro will also have the same chipset.
