The 4 year wait is over! Google is bringing back the XL phone after 2019

At the start of the new year, the first look of the Google Pixel 9 and 9 Pro came to light from some leaked renders. The images were leaked by tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer (onlix). He has now claimed that the standard and pro models will be called Google Pixel 9 Pro and 9 Pro XL respectively. As a result, the second model marks the return of the XL name to the Pixel series, which was last seen 4 years ago. But apart from that, the Google Pixel 9 is expected to be launched as the standard model. Because some more renders of the phone have now come forward.

The leak is a render of the Google Pixel 9

According to the leaked renders, the standard Google Pixel 9 model will have almost the same design as the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL variants. The picture looks compact with boxy design and flat frame. The phone also has curved angles. The power and volume rocker buttons will be located on the right side of the phone. On the other hand, the rear panel features a large protruding pill-shaped camera bridge, which does not extend towards the corners like the predecessor models.

The renders also reveal that the Google Pixel 9 will have a display with a central punch-hole cutout, surrounded by symmetrical bezels on all sides. The main difference between the standard and Pro models is that the base model’s 6.03-inch screen is slightly smaller than the Pro model’s 6.1 inches.

It is also reported that the standard Google Pixel 9 model will have a dual camera setup. However, it will not have a periscope lens like the Pixel 9 Pro and 9 Pro XL. Onlix also said that the Google Pixel 9 will measure 152.8 x 71.9 x 8.5 mm and will have a 12 mm rear camera bump.
