Redmi will launch its entry-level Redmi A3 phone in India on February 14. Earlier now, the sub-brand of Xiaomi confirmed that it will be sold through Flipkart. The e-commerce site has also created a dedicated microsite to tease the specifications of the Redmi A3, confirming the presence of a display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a 5,000mAh battery. Both Flipkart and Mi India have made dedicated microsites live on their websites to confirm the arrival of the Redmi A3. According to the listing, the handset features an all-new ‘halo-design’ with a large circular rear camera module. The phone is confirmed to feature a 90Hz refresh rate display and a 5,000mAh battery. The smartphone will come with 6GB of physical RAM and support 6GB of virtual RAM. Redmi A3 will be launched in India on February 14. The handset is rumored to be priced between Rs 7,000 and Rs 9,000
Redmi A3 Specifications (Expected)
The Redmi A3 is expected to feature a 6.71-inch HD+ (1,600 x 720 pixels) LCD screen with a 120Hz touch sampling rate. It may be powered by MediaTek Helio G35 processor. For photography, it is expected to have an AI-backed 13-megapixel dual rear camera unit. And for selfies and video calling, the phone may have an 8-megapixel camera sensor on the front.
Note that the Redmi A3 will debut as the successor to the Redmi A2 which was launched in March last year. The predecessor’s base 2GB RAM + 32GB storage variant was priced at Rs 5,999. Also two more models are available in the market. These are 2GB RAM + 64GB storage and 4GB RAM + 64GB storage, which are priced at Rs 6,499 and Rs 7,499 respectively.
