OnePlus 15 smartphone in China is going to be launched soon. The flagship smartphone is said to make its official debut in China alongside the OnePlus Ace 6 later this month. Earlier today, OnePlus shared more details about the launch on social media. It is already known that the OnePlus 15 will be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. Besides, the brand has revealed a few more specifications of this upcoming handset. It will run on ColorOS 16 custom skin based on Android 16. Meanwhile, the OnePlus Ace 6 is likely to be limited to the Chinese market, while the OnePlus 15 will be available in other markets around the world, including India.
OnePlus Ace 6 has been listed on the company’s website ahead of launch
OnePlus confirmed in a recent Weibo post that the screen will be removed from the OnePlus 15 and OnePlus Ace 6 in China today (October 17). However, it is believed that the company will not launch the two devices today, but may announce them. On the other hand, the OnePlus Ace 6 is currently listed on the company’s Chinese website with the ‘Coming Soon’ tag, while the OnePlus 15 is available for pre-booking.
OnePlus 15 and OnePlus Ace 6 Specifications (Probable)
The OnePlus 15 is already said to offer an OLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate and 1.5K resolution. The company will use a third-generation BoE-manufactured Oriental screen for its upcoming flagship, with 1.15mm narrow bezels on all four sides. The display claims 10 percent lower power consumption and 30 percent longer lifespan compared to the predecessor OnePlus 13’s screen.
The upcoming OnePlus 15 will run on Android 16-based ColorOS 16 custom skin. It will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset for better performance and one of its color options will be Original Dune.
In the camera segment, the OnePlus 15 phone is expected to come with a triple rear camera setup, which will include a 50-megapixel primary rear sensor, a 50-megapixel secondary camera and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. For power backup, it may have a 7,300mAh battery that will support 120W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging. The handset is said to come with a 6.7-inch screen and an IP68-rated build.
On the other hand, the OnePlus Ace 6 is rumored to have a 1.5K resolution display with a 165Hz refresh rate. It is likely to offer a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. The device may house a large 7,800mAh battery with 120W wired fast charging support. The handset is also said to feature an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.
