No demand, slim design Samsung Galaxy S26 Edge model is not coming in the market

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge smartphone was launched last May as the slimmest device in the Galaxy S series, which was only 5.8 millimeters thick. This slim form-factor device was launched as the fourth model in the Samsung Galaxy S25 lineup. But new reports claim that the South Korean brand is set to scrap the Samsung Galaxy S26 Edge as its successor model. Samsung is reportedly planning to discontinue the ‘Edge’ series due to low sales.

Instead of making Edge branding devices, the company will likely focus on the rest of the flagship Galaxy S26 lineup, which will include the Samsung Galaxy S26, Samsung Galaxy S26+ and Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra.

Demand for Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge has dropped

According to a South Korean newspaper, Samsung has decided to discontinue its ultra-slim smartphone line, the ‘Edge’ series. The move is reportedly due to the disappointing sales of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge. Next year’s Samsung S lineup will continue to include the standard Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+ and Galaxy S26 Ultra models.

The report also claims that Samsung authorities have told their employees to discontinue the Edge series and the Galaxy S26 Edge. The report says that the new Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge will not be manufactured. But since the development of Samsung Galaxy S26 Edge is already done, we guess it might be released with a different name later.

The newspaper as well as several tech insiders like PhoneArt and Max Jambor have reported that Samsung has officially canceled the Samsung Galaxy S26 Edge due to the poor sales performance of the Galaxy S25 Edge in the market.
