Motorola today announced a new smartphone under its Edge 50-series. The Moto Edge 50 Pro smartphone has arrived in the country under the high-mid range, with prices starting at Rs 31,999. Talking about specifications, this is the company’s first smartphone under the Edge 50 lineup, which is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor. Apart from this, it will support several notable features like – 1.5K POLED curved display, new custom skin based on Android 14, 50 megapixel triple rear camera setup, stereo speaker system and 4,500 mAh battery. Moto Edge 50 Pro Smartphone Price and Availability in India
Moto Edge 50 Pro smartphone price in the country starts from Rs 31,999. This sale price is for its 8GB RAM + 256GB storage + 68W charger variant. Again the higher 12GB RAM + 256GB storage + 125W charger option is priced at Rs 35,999.
As part of the launch offer, Motorola is offering a flat Rs 2,000 discount on both variants of its Moto Edge 50 Pro phone. After which the 8 GB RAM and 12 GB RAM options can be bought for Rs 29,999 and Rs 33,999 respectively. Again, if you pay using HDFC Bank credit or debit card, you will get a discount of Rs 2,250. Or alternatively buyers can also buy this smartphone under the exchange bonus option of Rs 2,000.
Talking about availability, the phone will be available from April 9 through the company’s website, e-commerce platform Flipkart, along with partner retail stores – in Moonlight Pearl, Luxe Lavender and Black color options. The company has confirmed that the Moto Edge 50 Pro Moonlight Pearl Limited Edition model will be sold on April 8 during a live sale organized by Flipkart.

Moto Edge 50 Pro is the first smartphone to come with PANTONE certified display color calibration and camera output. It sports a 6.7-inch 1.5K (2712×1220 pixels) POLED curved display panel. This touchscreen is protected by SGS Eye technology and supports 144 Hz refresh rate, 2000 nits peak brightness, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, HDR10+ technology. Above the display is a 50-megapixel selfie sensor with f/1.9 aperture and autofocus. On the back of the device, there is a triple rear camera setup with LED flash. These are – 50-megapixel primary shooter with OIS + 13-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens with macro shot support + a telephoto lens with 30x hybrid zoom.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor and Adrenaline 732 GPU are used in this handset for better performance and multitasking. 8 GB/12 GB RAM and 256 GB UFS 2.2 memory will be available as storage. This latest handset in the Edge 50 series comes pre-loaded with the new HelloUI custom skin based on Android 14. This user interface offers several features like – Moto Secure, Moto Unplugged, Family Space etc. The company has promised three Android OS upgrades and four years of security patch updates with this new phone.
Talking about other features, this Motorola branded handset comes with in-display fingerprint scanner for security and stereo speaker setup for enhanced sound delivery. It will take advantage of the thinkshield feature. Connectivity options include – Dual SIM slots, 5G, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, NavIC and USB 3.1 port.
The Moto Edge 50 Pro smartphone has a 4,500mAh capacity battery, which supports 125W TurboPower fast charging, 50W TurboPower wireless charging and 10W reverse wireless charging via USB Type-C charging port. The IP68 rated device measures 161.23×72.4×8.19 mm and weighs 186 grams.
