Motorola has announced the Moto G Power 5G (2024) smartphone today i.e. March 13 in the US and Canada markets. It comes as the successor to the Moto G Power 5G (2023) model that arrived last year. This 5G-enabled handset features – FHD+ LCD display panel with 120Hz refresh rate, MediaTek Dimension 7 series chipset, 50-megapixel dual camera unit, dual speaker system and a powerful battery with 30W fast charging support. It will also feature a side-facing fingerprint scanner to protect users’ data. The device supports e-SIM technology. The Moto G Power 5G (2024) smartphone offers a vegan leather back panel and water-resistant body-build. It has a 6.7-inch Full HD Plus LCD touch-panel. The design of this display is punch-hole style and it supports – 120 Hz refresh rate, 391 ppi pixel density and 85% screen-to-body ratio. It has MediaTek Dimension 7020 chipset to provide good performance. 8 GB RAM and 128 GB memory will be available as storage. It is possible to increase its storage capacity through microSD card. The device runs on the latest Android 14 based My UX custom skin.
Talking about the camera department, the new Moto G Power 5G (2024) phone has a dual rear camera setup on the back. These cameras are – 50-megapixel primary sensor with OIS support and 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens with 118-degree field-of-view. Meanwhile, there will be a 16-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling.
The Moto G Power 5G (2024) smartphone features connectivity options – dual SIM slots (with e-SIM support), 5G, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. The handset also comes with a side-facing fingerprint scanner and dual speaker system. It measures 167.22×76.44×8.5 mm and weighs 201 grams.

The Moto G Power 5G (2024) smartphone has been priced at $299 (roughly Rs. 24,800 in India) in the US. It will be available for purchase from March 29 through the company’s US branch website (Motorola.com), Amazon US and Best Buy US. The phone has been launched with a total of two color options, namely – Midnight Blue and Pale Lilac.
Incidentally, when this phone will debut in India is still unknown.
