It is rumored that OnePlus will launch the latest OnePlus Ace 2 Pro flagship phone in their Ace series next month, i.e. in August in the Chinese market. Some reports claim that the device will come with Qualcomm’s overclocked Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, with a maximum frequency of 3.36 GHz. Several sources also claim that the Ace 2 Pro will be powered by the regular Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. However, the device has now appeared on the Geekbench benchmarking site, which has revealed details regarding the upcoming phone’s processor. Let’s find out which chipset will actually be used in the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro.
OnePlus Ace 2 Pro spotted on Geekbench database
OnePlus S2 Pro with model number PJA110 has been listed on Geekbench 6. It scored 1,574 points in the benchmark platform’s single-core test and 5,071 points in the multi-core test. The listing confirms that the device will have the regular Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, with a maximum clock speed of 3.19 GHz.
The Geekbench database also revealed that the OnePlus S2 Pro will come with at least 16GB of RAM and will run on Android 13 operating system. Like other OnePlus phones in China, it is expected to have the ColorOS 13.1 software skin layered over the Android OS. Apart from these though, the benchmark list didn’t reveal any more details. But since speculations about the phone have been going on in the tech circles for a long time, various specifications have come to the fore from several reports.
OnePlus Ace 2 Pro Specifications (Probable)
According to recent reports, the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro will feature a 6.74-inch curved-edged OLED display with a high 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. For security, it will also get an under-display fingerprint scanner. The top-end variant of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-powered Ace 2 Pro is expected to offer up to 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage.
In terms of cameras, the rear panel of the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro is expected to include a 50-megapixel primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) support, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. And for selfies, a 16-megapixel selfie camera can be seen on the front of the phone. For power backup, the Ace 2 Pro will use a large 5,000mAh capacity battery, which is said to support 150W fast charging.
