Realme is soon going to launch its next 4G phone, Realme 12 4G. Its 5G version, however, is already available in the market. While the upcoming handset looks similar to other models in the Realme 12 series, its specifications will be different. Its hints came from leaked renders and marketing materials of the phone.
Realme launched the Realme 12 smartphone last March. It was the 5G model, but the company is currently preparing to launch a 4G version of the handset. And now, a tipster has shared the official renders and marketing material of the Realme 12 4G phone online, which reveals its design as well as most of its key specifications. Let's take a look at them.
Realme 12 4G specifications revealed
According to the renders shared by tipster Pars Googlani, the Realme 12 4G phone will have the same design as other Realme 12 series devices. A circular camera module can be seen in the middle of the back of the phone. It will have a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-600 primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) support and a 2-megapixel macro lens.
A 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate can be seen on the front and a 16-megapixel selfie camera is located in the punch-hole cutout on the top.
For performance, the Realme 12 4G handset will be powered by Qualcomm's octa-core Snapdragon 685 4G chipset. It was previously used on the Redmi Note 13 4G phone as well. The processor consists of four Cortex-A73 cores (2.8 GHz), four Cortex-A53 cores (1.9 GHz) and Adreno 610 GPU. The Realme 12 4G may come with 8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB/512GB storage options. The phone will likely run Realme UI 5.0 based on Android 14 custom skin.
For power backup, the Realme 12 4G handset will be powered by a 5,000mAh battery, which will support 67W fast charging technology. It will have Rainwater Smart Touch technology, which allows the phone to be used even when it gets wet in the rain, and will come with IP54 dust and water resistance certification. The tipster also mentioned that the Realme 12 4G model could be priced between Rs 15,000 and Rs 17,000 in India. It is said to be available for sale in the global market from June 7.
