The presence of infotainment systems such as Android Auto and Apple CarPlay is very common in four-wheelers these days. But have you ever imagined that this feature can be found on a bike? That's about to happen courtesy of Nepalese electric vehicle startup Yatri Motorcycles. The company has announced its Project 1 Gen 2 (P1 Gen 2), the world's first two-wheeler (bike), which will offer both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay features.

According to Thakur Poudel, technical director of Yatri Motorcycles, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto were limited to cars until now. But this time, P1 Gen 2 is going to be launched in the market with these features, breaking the tradition. No separate accessories are required. It will be convenient for both Android and Apple smartphone users.

According to the company, the two-wheeler can be easily connected to the mobile due to the wireless facility in P1 Gen 2. No 'wires' or additional accessories will be required for this. Once connected, voice commands, navigation, calls, messages, music and various notifications can be accessed from the bike's display.

Apart from advanced connectivity, the Yatri P1 Gen 2 features a crash cage and frame slider. This increases the security of the model. The launch date of the electric bike has not been revealed yet. It is not known whether it will be launched in the Indian market at all. Incidentally, the price of the original P1 starts at Rs 3.53 lakh in Indian currency.
