Yamaha is famous all over the world for their sports bikes. The company currently sells the R15 as the only full-faired model in India. Fans have been demanding for a long time that the company should bring the best supersport bikes sold in the global market to India. Fulfilling the wishes of the fans, Yamaha is bringing such two-wheelers to India. It is heard that Yamaha MT-07 or YZF-R7 may be launched in India before the Puja season. Besides, there is a bright possibility of repatriating the R3 model as well.
Yamaha R7 and R3 advertisement video production is complete
According to sources, the R7 and R3 were recently spotted at the Madras International Circuit in Chennai for an ad shoot. Which has intensified the speculation of the launch of the two motorcycles in India very soon. Hopefully, Yamaha will release the teaser video and announce the launch date very soon.
The Yamaha R7 bike has a 689 cc parallel twin engine. It produces 72.49 bhp at 8,750 rpm and 67 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. It comes with six-speed transmission, dual channel ABS, USD front fork and rear monoshock. Weight 188 kg.
On the other hand, the R3 and MT-03 share the same powertrain. That 321 cc, parallel twin engine produces 42 PS of power at 10,750 rpm and 29.6 Nm of torque at 9,000 rpm. Both models feature the Diamond Frame chassis, six-speed transmission and the R7’s suspension and brake setup.
Incidentally, Yamaha has not yet revealed any information regarding the launch date and price of the bikes. Presumably, these may have been manufactured abroad and imported into India. There is also the possibility of R3 and MT-03 being manufactured across the country. As a result, motorcycles can be relatively cheap.
