Xiaomi SU7: More than 100,000 bookings in 6 days, Xiaomi’s electric car is shaking the market

The world’s popular smartphone maker Xiaomi has just launched its first electric car in the market. Name – Xiaomi SU7 EV. This car of the Chinese company has responded to the market after its launch. His evidence was found in hand. The tech giant said that the car has crossed 1 lakh bookings within just 6 days of its launch. In the Chinese market, this car is scaring the minds of Tesla and BYD.

Note that Xiaomi SU7 EV was launched at an event held in Beijing on March 28. The price was kept around 25 lakhs in Indian currency. Xiaomi claims that this electric sedan will provide a range of 700 km on a full charge. Along with the performance, it is packed with a lot of advanced features. From today, Xiaomi has started delivering this car to its customers.

Xiaomi has produced 5000 electric vehicles in the first batch. Later buyers will have to wait seven months or more to take delivery of this car. Because the demand of the car is continuously increasing. Currently, the waiting period will be four to seven months, Xiaomi said.

The Xiaomi SU7, however, puts the Tesla Model 3 to shame in terms of price. Despite being packed with features, it is relatively cheap. It is on par with the Tesla Roadster in terms of pricing. This model of the Chinese company has appeared in four variants. Namely – Entry level version, Pro variant, Max version and limited Founders Edition.

Xiaomi SU7 : Performance

The Xiaomi SU7 EV is capable of reaching a maximum speed of 265 km per hour. Its top-end Max version will take 2.78 seconds to accelerate from 0-100 km/h. Range on full charge is 810 km. Again the Limited Founders Edition offers a dual motor, 4 wheel drive powertrain. Capable of producing 986 bhp of power, this model accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 1.98 seconds.

Xiaomi SU7 – Battery & Charging

Xiaomi has launched an electric vehicle with two types of batteries from CATL. The entry level variant is offered with a 73.6 kWh battery pack. Also available in the top-end variant is a 101 kWh battery. It will give a minimum range of 700 km on a full charge. Xiaomi is expected to introduce a 150 kWh battery pack for this car next year. Its range will be 1,200 km.

The EV model supports Ultra Fast Charging. Xiaomi claims that their 486V architecture will charge 350 km in 15 minutes. Again, the larger 871V architecture will provide the power to travel 510 km at the same time. Incidentally, it is not yet known whether this Xiaomi car will come to this country.
