Following the move Vodafone Idea (Vi) took in Mumbai circle a few days back, now following the same move in Gujarat too, it has made some significant changes to its prepaid plans. VI has indirectly increased tariffs by reducing the validity of its minimum recharge plans in the region For example, the telco has reduced the validity of its Rs 99 plan from 28 days to 15 days, while the validity of its Rs 128 plan has been reduced to 18 days instead of 28 days. Other benefits of these plans remain the same despite reducing the validity. For example, the Rs 99 plan still offers 200 MB data, Rs 99 talk time.
However, no SMS facility is provided in this plan of Vi (only SMS can be done while porting standard tariff by sending SMS to 1900 number). Similarly, the Rs 128 plan offers the same 10 local on-net night minutes and each local/national call at 2.5 paisa/sec and night minutes from 11 pm to 6 am. Apart from these, Vodafone Idea has launched four new plans in Gujarat. Let’s take a look at the benefits of these plans.
198 plan of Vodafone Idea
This plan is available in both Mumbai and Gujarat. It offers 500 MB data with 30 days validity. Moreover, this plan also offers 198 Tk talktime.
204 rupees plan of Vodafone Idea
The Rs 204 plan is an exclusive plan brought to Mumbai and Gujarat. Here customers get Rs 204 talk time, 500 MB data and 30 days validity. Besides, this plan will charge 2.5 paise per call.
224 rupees plan of Vodafone Idea
This plan is also only available in Mumbai and Gujarat. The validity of this Rs.224 plan is 30 days. 4 GB data and unlimited voice calling are provided here. However, no SMS facility is provided in this plan.
232 plan of Vodafone Idea
This special plan introduced for Mumbai and Gujarat offers users 30 days validity, 4GB data and unlimited voice calls. Like the Rs 224 plan, no SMS facility is provided here.
Incidentally, at the moment Vodafone Idea is the only telco that offers a Rs 99 plan, which even telcos like Airtel do not.
