Road accidents in India are still causing enough headaches. Two or four wheeler vehicles are facing accidents every day in some part of the country. That is why antilock braking system i.e. ABS plays a big role to give extra attention to the issue of safety. For a long time this life saving feature was offered only on bikes of 160 cc and above. But in the last few years it has started coming in 125 or lower cc bikes. ABS bikes are now available within Tk 80,000 (ex-showroom).

Bajaj Platina 110 ABS

Bajaj Platina 110 ABS is currently the cheapest motorcycle with ABS (Single Channel ABS) in India. Price Rs 79,821 (ex-showroom). The 115.45 cc single cylinder air cooled engine produces 8.6 bhp and 9.81 Nm of power and torque respectively.

Hero Xtreme 125R

The youngest member of the list, the Hero Xtreme 125R ABS version is priced at Rs 99,500 (ex-showroom). Equipped with single channel ABS, the 124.37 cc air cooled engine of this sporty commuter bike is capable of producing a maximum of 11.5 bhp and 10.5 Nm of torque.

Honda Unicorn

Japanese motorcycle maker Honda’s very popular commuter bike Unicorn costs Rs 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom). 162.7 cc single cylinder engine is used in this bike with single channel ABS. From which a maximum torque of 13.47 bhp and 14.58 Nm is available.

Bajaj Pulsar 150

Bajaj Pulsar 150 occupies a major place in the world of stylish commuter bikes. The ex-showroom price of this bike with single channel ABS starts from Tk 1.10 lakh to a maximum of Tk 1.15 lakh. The 149.5 cc single cylinder, air cooled, DTS-i engine produces power and torque outputs of 14 bhp and 13.25 Nm respectively. Disc brakes are available on both wheels on the top model.

Bajaj Pulsar N150

Pulsar N150 is priced (ex-showroom) from Tk 1.18 lakh to Tk 1.24 lakh. This naked bike produces 14.5 bhp and 13.5 Nm of torque. The number of gears in the transmission system is five. Safety features include single channel ABS.
