Reliance Jio has introduced a new Rs 49 plan for its customers, which is set to compete directly with Airtel’s Rs 49 prepaid plan. Although, this is not a new plan from Jio, it is currently listed under the Cricket offer. Let’s see what benefits are available in this plan.
49 plans of Jio and Airtel
Reliance Jio’s Rs 49 prepaid plan is actually a data voucher, so you need to have a base prepaid plan recharge to use it. The validity of this plan is 1 day, and it offers a total of 25 GB data.
Meanwhile, Airtel offers 1 day validity and 20 GB data in their Rs 49 plan. Therefore, even though Airtel and Jio offer data vouchers at the same price, there is a difference of 5 GB data between them.
Other data plans of Jio
Apart from the Rs 49, there are several other data vouchers in Jio’s portfolio. So if a user wants to get more data than this, they can recharge the Rs 222 plan as well. Which offers a total of 50 GB data. And its validity is same as active base prepaid plan.
Also, Jio has data vouchers worth Rs 444 and Rs 667. Which, respectively, offer 100 GB data in 60 days and 150 GB data in 90 days. But remember, once this data is over, internet speed will be reduced to 64 kbps as per FAP policy. And once the validity ends, the data benefits of these vouchers will also end.
Note that Jio now offers unlimited 5G data to its customers. So if the customer is staying in an area where 5G coverage is available, they don’t need such data vouchers. Because, they can already use unlimited 5G data at high speed.
