In India, some games are going to be ‘game over’, yes, said Union Electronics and Information Technology Minister Rajiv Chandrasekhar. He said that the central government is preparing to completely ban several games in the country. Games that are primarily for money or that are harmful or addictive to users will be banned. It should be noted that it was heard a few months ago that the central government has made a new law on online games.
Chandrasekhar also said that within 90 days from the date of promulgation of the rules, a self-regulatory body should be constituted to approve the proper games. And since the self-regulatory body has to wait 90 days, the government will decide what is right and what is not right. Now see which games can be fixed in India according to the rules.
For now there will be no impact on jobs for AI
The Electronics and IT Minister said that the government will regulate artificial intelligence or any other technology. And since artificial intelligence technology is advanced enough that it is not yet able to handle situations with logic, artificial intelligence will not have any impact on jobs for the next few years.
However, this may happen after the next 5 to 7 years, said Chandrasekhar. According to him, be it AI or any other technology, if it has the potential to harm people, the government itself should regulate it. And this is a new philosophy, which started in 2014. In this case, the principle of this philosophy of the government is to provide protection to digital citizens.
