Surprisingly, the popularity of petrol scooters has been challenged by electric models. According to statistics, Honda Activa has strengthened its top position in terms of sales last month. Honda sold 2,60,300 units of the scooter last month. 14,284 models more than the same period last year.
Top 10 Best Selling Scooters in India
TVS Jupiter lit up the second spot in the list. It sold 77,086 models last month. Third place holder is Suzuki Access. In April this year, Suzuki sold 61,960 models of the scooter. At number four is the Ola S1. 33,963 units were sold.
TVS Ntorq took the fifth position. 30,411 units were sold in April. Honda Dio is number six in the list with sales of 23,182 units. Maxi scooter Suzuki Burgman occupied the seventh place. In the previous month it brought home a total of 17,680 buyers.
TVS iQube occupies the eighth position. TVS' only electric scooter sold 16,713 units last month. Whereas just a year ago the number was 6,227. As a result sales increased by 168.40 percent. Yamaha Ray ZR (14,055 units) and Hero Destini (12,596 units) are at ninth and tenth place respectively.
