India's Bharat 6G Alliance today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with its European counterpart 6G Smart Networks and Services Industry Association (6G IA) and 6G Flagship – Oulu University.
India's Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has entered into this international partnership to build a strong telecom ecosystem outside the country, which will help boost global connectivity and make India a leader in digital innovation and infrastructure.
DoT has already completed the evaluation of 470 proposals for rapid rollout of 6G in India. And now India will get several privileges through this MoU agreement. They are –
- Along with European companies, Indian research and development companies will be linked.
- 6G and related research will progress rapidly.
- 6G technology will have the opportunity to be a driver.
- A country can be directly supported in the development of 6G technology and a special contribution can be made to improve the standard of this technology in the world.
