
Japanese motorcycle brand Yamaha is soon to bring India to India's first electric car. The company has already joined the Bengaluru-based EV startup River Mobility. The electric scooter was recently seen experimentally operating on the street. On the basis of which, even if the new scooter has the Chassis and PowerTrane of the River Indi, it will show some changes in its external design. The new model will have a slightly high tail lamp, new side panel and newly designed front apron, which can be found vertically at the headlamp. However, it will provide a 5-inch wheel and a 5-inch color TFT display like the River Indi.
The official specification of the Yamaha scooter has not yet been released. However, it is expected that its performance will be like the River Indi. The River Indi has given a 5 kW hour battery pack, which once offers up to 120 km in charge. It has a capacity of 1.5 kW, which can produce a maximum of 20 NM torque and lift speeds of 5 to 5 km/h in just 1.5 seconds.
This new electric scooter of Yamaha will be produced in River's Bengaluru factory. It is expected to start production soon and later this year it will be launched in the Indian market.
