Hand and 3 months, how will the iPhone series? Here are the camera, processor and battery details

There are speculations that Apple is going to launch the iPhone 16 series after another three months i.e. in September. Although the tech giant has not officially announced anything about this. But every year the new iPhone lineup is released in the third quarter. Therefore, it can be assumed that there will be no exception in 2024. Meanwhile, as the time of arrival approaches, the buzz continues to grow. The details of iPhone 16 lineup such as display, battery, camera, chipset etc. have already been leaked online. It is also claimed that it will come with a new design and larger display compared to its predecessor. It is also believed that Apple will announce the iOS 18 software version with multiple 'Artificial Intelligence' (AI) features during the 'Worldwide Developers Conference' (WWDC) on June 10. which may be pre-loaded on the Apple iPhone 16 series.

Apple iPhone 16 series design

The design of the upcoming iPhone 16 series could see significant changes. Tim Cook's company is reportedly planning to do away with traditional physical buttons. Capacitive touch sensitive buttons could be introduced instead, which would provide haptic feedback. For this, the models will get support for Apple's Taptic Engine.

Talking about the camera design, both the standard iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus models will feature a pill-shaped module on the back. So that the camera sensors will be positioned vertically. This module is expected to have a wide and an ultra-wide lens. The setup can support spatial video recording feature.

Another notable addition has been revealed in terms of design. The iPhone 16 series may include a dedicated capture button, which will facilitate one-tap video recording. Moreover, the new action button will now be available on every variant of the series. Whereas last year this button was present only in the 'Pro' model. Besides, the upcoming phones may come with a punch-hole display design and USB Type-C port.

Display:

Higher phones in the iPhone 16 series may feature larger displays surrounded by narrower bezels to enhance the visual experience. In this case, Apple can offer 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch touchscreens with the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max models respectively. On the other hand, the standard iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus may launch with 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch displays, respectively, similar to their predecessors. Each variant can support a 120Hz refresh rate, which will significantly increase the smoothness of animations.

Chipset:

The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus models may be powered by the company's in-house A18 processor. However, the higher-end iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max phones may use the more advanced A18 Pro chipset. Additionally, it is reported that the 'Pro' models in the series will include graphene pads instead of graphite pads. This upgrade will improve the heat dissipation system and keep the device cool even during long usage.

Battery and Charging Capacity:

Battery and charging section is very important in any smartphone. In this case, it has been claimed that the battery and charging capacity of the upcoming iPhone 16 series will be improved. According to recent reports, the iPhone 16 model could come with a 3,561 mAh capacity battery. A 4,006 mAh battery may be used in the iPhone 16 Plus phone. And the top-end iPhone 16 Pro Max model may be offered with the largest 4,676 mAh capacity battery.

Camera:

The camera department of the iPhone 16 Pro Max phone is expected to get a major upgrade. It will feature a super telephoto periscope camera, offering a high-level optical zoom of over 5x. On the other hand, the iPhone 16 Pro model may include an in-house tetraprism lens system with 5x optical zoom.

Apple is also said to be working on new anti-reflective optical coating technology for the cameras of their upcoming iPhone models. This technology will reduce problems like lens flare and ghosting. It will also capture good quality images even in very bright or low light conditions.

The iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max models will feature a 48-megapixel ultra-wide rear lens. This lens captures extra light to provide better clarity and detailing in images. At the same time it will give good camera performance in low light conditions. Besides, it is also known that 48 megapixel ProRAW photos will be supported in ultra wide mode.
