Tomorrow i.e. July 5, Maruti Suzuki is going to bring their new large MPV Invicto in the Indian market. This premium seven-seater car with three rows of seats will come as a rebadged model of Toyota Innova Hycross. The company has already started accepting its bookings. They also revealed some information about Invicto. For example, it has a panoramic sunroof and captain seat in the second row.
Maruti Suzuki Invicto is being launched this month
Last week Maruti released a new teaser video showcasing the panoramic sunroof on their upcoming Invicto MPV. This is the company’s second model to come with the feature. Maruti was the first model to offer a panoramic sunroof on their Grand Vitara SUV. Which is actually the twin brother of Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder.
The teaser released by the company shows the captain seat in the middle row of Maruti Suzuki Invicto. Reportedly, the car will again be offered in both 6- and 7-seat options. Like the Innova Hycross, it is expected to offer ottoman seats with reclining feature. As confirmed in the first teaser, the car will come with a chrome-clad grille. There are LED headlamps on the grille and a prominent Invicto name on the tailgate. It comes with leather upholstery along with ventilation.
Among other features, the Maruti Suzuki Invicto will feature a touchscreen infotainment system, which will support Apple Car Play and Android Auto connectivity. There is also a large MID unit as instrument console, 360 degree camera and head up display. Under the hood is a 2.0 liter petrol engine. Which can be chosen in naturally aspirated version and hybrid option. The car is offered only with automatic transmission.
Although unveiled on July 5, Maruti is expected to launch the Invicto MPV by the end of this month. In India it will compete with its rebadged model Innova Hycross. Both models may therefore be priced similarly. Note that the current market price of Innova Hycross is Rs 18.55 lakh to Rs 29.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
