Tata Punch Flex Fuel: Gasoline is a thing of the past, now the car will run only on ethanol to reduce costs, the new Tata Punch has arrived

After CNG, petrol, diesel and electric, Tata Motors has come up with a flex-fuel powered car. The company showcased the Puch Flex Fuel model at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo. It is capable of running not just on 85 percent ethanol, but on full 100 percent ethanol. And this is the biggest feature of the car. Apart from the white and green dual-tone color scheme and Flex Fuel lettering, there are no changes to the design of the car.

Tata Punch Flex Fuel

The Tata Punch Flex Fuel will run on the same 1.2-litre, three-cylinder, naturally aspirated engine as the petrol model. The engine has been modified to run on inanol blended fuel. Tata Motors has made several mechanical changes to make the Punch's engine compatible with the new flex fuel.

The vehicle has a smart software and sophisticated engine control system, which is able to automatically adjust to different ethanol blended fuels. The high-flow injectors in the fuel injection system will ensure that the engine starts smoothly even when cold. Besides, Tata is using advanced exhaust system to prevent emission of harmful gases. Tata has not yet announced when the Punch Flex Fuel version will be launched.

Five lakh production milestone for Tata Punch

The 4 lakhth unit of Tata Punch rolled out of the factory in August last year. And this month this micro SUV touched the milestone of 5 lakh production. It even won the title of the country's best-selling car in 2024. Where Maruti Suzuki models were known as the top selling cars for the past four decades. Currently, the petrol version of the Tata Punch starts at Rs 5.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
