Tata Motors (Tata Motors) recently made headlines across the country by announcing India’s first CNG Automatic (AMT) car. Because so far only manual transmission has been used in CNG cars. After the wait, Tata Tiago CNG AMT and Tata Tigor CNG AMT were officially launched in India today. It will cost 7.89 lakh and 8.84 lakh (ex-showroom) to buy respectively. As a result, Indians are going to experience automatic gear for the first time even in CNG vehicles.
The booking of the two cars has started from last January 27. It takes 21,000 rupees to book. The Tiago CNG AMT comes in four variants – XTA, XZA+, XZA+ DT and XZA NRG. Whereas the Tigor CNG AMT is available in two trims – XZA and XZA+. The model gets two new color schemes as updates. The new Tornado Blue color is offered on the Tiago. The Tiago NRG gets Grassland Beige and the Tigor can be bought in Meteor Bronze color.
Tigor CNG AMT and Tiago CNG AMT: Mileage and Engine Specifications
Nowadays almost everyone expects high mileage with lots of features in the car. Tata Tigor CNG AMT and Tiago CNG AMT will fulfill the expectations of those buyers. According to the company, the two cars can travel 28 km on 1 kg of fuel. Both models share the same powertrain. Which is a 1.2 liter, 3-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine. Its output is 73.4 bhp and 95 Nm.
Tigor CNG AMT and Tiago CNG AMT: Price
Tata Tigor CNG AMT comes in two variants XZA and XZA+. They are priced at Rs 8.84 lakh and Rs 9.54 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively. Whereas the four variants of Tata Tiago CNG AMT namely – XTA, XZA+, XZA+ DT and XZA NRG are priced at Tk 7.89 lakh, Tk 8.79 lakh, Tk 8.89 lakh and Tk 8.79 lakh respectively (X- showroom).
