The Speed 400 has just been launched as the cheapest model of Triumph in India. It is brought in association with Bajaj. Bajaj’s new factory in Chakan, whose production is underway. The roadster bike has taken the market by storm since its launch due to its attractively low price. However, recently a leaked screenshot of the bike’s on-road price online has sparked a flurry of criticism from various quarters. Where seen, the on-road price of the bike is Rs 3.38 lakh. In this context, Bajaj clarified that they have not fixed the on-road price of this bike so far. So the price of Triumph Speed 400 claimed in the screenshot is completely wrong.
Incorrect Unroad Price of Triumph Speed 400
Triumph has priced their new Speed 400 at Rs 2.33 lakh (ex-showroom). It is also reported that the keys will be handed over to the first 10,000 buyers for 2.23 lakh rupees. In this regard, Bajaj Auto said in an official statement, “Bajaj Auto is committed to its customers. We provide best price and transparency. We appeal to all consumers and media, please do not listen to these social media rumours. Where the new on-road price of Speed 400 is shown.”
Bajaj said, “The company has not yet revealed the on-road price of the bike. Which will be announced on July 10. Currently, the bike will be sold to the first 10,000 buyers at an ex-showroom price of Tk 2.23 lakh. Later, its price will be increased to Tk 2.33 lakh (ex-showroom). Its delivery will start from this month.”
The screenshots circulating on social media show the Triumph Speed 400 at Rs 46,553 for road tax, Rs 17,000 for delivery charges, Rs 3,937 for registration and RTO charges, Rs 6,016 for RSA, Rs 23,592 for insurance and Rs 23,592 for intro kit. 8,500 has been shown. The total price of the motorcycle is Rs 3,38,598. Triumph and Bajaj are yet to confirm whether the motorcycle will be available with the Introkit at launch. Buyers will have to wait till July 10 to be sure about the related matters.
