Manufacturers are emphasizing on creating eco-friendly vehicles by reducing reliance on traditional fuels such as gasoline. Already companies like Hero, Bajaj, and TVS have introduced electric scooters in the market. But none of the big brands have launched electric bikes yet. Royal Enfield is going to fill that place now. Yes, you heard right. The Indian company has hinted at the launch of their first electric motorcycle next year.

Royal Enfield will bring their first production electric bike in 2025. Last year the company showcased the Electric Himalayan Concept, codenamed electricK01. However, it is not confirmed whether this will be Enfield's first battery-powered motorbike to come to India. However, several specifications are known.

The Royal Enfield Electric bike will have a fixed battery. That is, it cannot be opened and charged conveniently anywhere. They refrain from using swappable battery setup. But the battery will support fast charging like a smartphone. The company's two prototype e-bike designs have already been revealed.

The patent image shows an old-school retro-styled bike, similar to the company's current engine-powered two-wheeler. The company claims that the first electric model will look very good. It will be officially launched in the market within the next 12 months.
