Royal Enfield launched the Gorilla 450 motorcycle last month using the new Himalayan platform. Again this month the Indian company is going to come up with an updated version of their most popular model. The new Royal Enfield Classic 350 will be officially launched on August 12 with a host of features. Although the company is yet to announce, the variant and features of the motorcycle have been leaked from a source.
The updated Classic 350 lineup will have five variants – Heritage, Heritage Premium, Signals, Dark, and the top-spec Classic Chrome. Lower variants may offer rear drum brakes to keep the price affordable like the current model. The dark trim will have only alloy and tubeless tyres. Besides, it will be available as an optional extra in the remaining five variants.
The Classic 350 will be available as a standard feature on the dark and chrome variants of the updated version. However, it is known that every variant will get gear position indicator. Fans have been demanding this ever since the new avatar was launched on J-Platform in 2021. They are finally being heard. USB-C charging ports will be available across the entire Classic 350 lineup.
While new features have been added, the engine of the updated Classic is unlikely to change. As a result, it will run on the same 349 cc air/oil cooled engine as before, producing a maximum of 20.2 bhp and 27 Nm of torque. It will be accompanied by a five-speed gearbox. The motorcycle is currently priced between Rs 1.93 lakh and Rs 2.25 lakh (ex-showroom). Buyers are looking at how much the price of the new version will increase.
