Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G with 5G connectivity and Adreno 640 GPU has been tipped to be launch on May 19. The leading smartphone chipset maker added a new chipset to its 700 series portfolio. The rumors suggested that it will pair with the same CPU as Snapdragon 780G.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G launch date tipped
Today, A well-known tipster named @stufflistings revealed the launch date and some key specifications about Qualcomm’s upcoming 778G chipset. As per the tipster, The Chipset maker will unveil its Snapdragon 778G processor on May 19th. Further, The tipster also unveiled that it will feature the same CPU as Snapdragon 780G but with Adreno 640 GPU.
Interestingly, Qualcomm paired the same GPU in its flagship processors including Snapdragon 855 SoC, Snapdragon 855+ & Snapdragon 860 GPU. In terms of connectivity, The Snapdragon 778G will also include 5G, 4G, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth v5.2, and support for LPDDR5 RAM.
For those who are unaware, Snapdragon 780G chipset is an octa-core that houses CPU 1x Cortex-A78 cores at 2.4 GHz, 3x Cortex-A78 cores at 2.2 GHz, and 4x Cortex-A55 cores at 1.9 GHz, comes with Snapdragon X53 5G Modem-RF System, integrated with Adreno 642 GPU, based on the latest Samsung 5nm architecture, support up to FHD+ 144 Hz on-device display, LPDDR4 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.
