Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 5G is the upcoming budget 5G chipset in the 400 series of Qualcomm. On December 1 and 2 Qualcomm only revealed Snapdragon 888 processor and none of the budget and upper mid-range chipset has been revealed yet. But now a reliable tipster Mukul Sharma tipped that Snapdragon 480 5G will launch today.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 is tipped to be manufactured on an 8nm fabrication process. It will come with kryo 460 8 cores that can provide a maximum frequency of 2.0 GHz. The processor is tipped to come integrated with Adreno 619 GPU.
The Snapdragon 480 5G will come with the support of a 120 Hz display. Mukul also tipped that SD 480 5G will be 100% improved SoC if compared to SD 460. The SD 480 will come with the latest Wi-Fi 6 support. The upcoming chipset will compete with MediaTek Dimensity 720 5G processor.
The MTK Dimensity 720 was revealed back in July and is said to be the best budget 5G chipset at that time and also rulling now. But after Snapdragon 480 launch it may be possible it comes to 2nd position. But the things become more clear after the launch of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 5G.
