No need to show your face, video calls can now be made using avatars on Instagram and Messenger

Popular social media company Meta, has come up with a fun new feature for its Instagram and Messenger users. With this new feature users will be given the facility of real time avatar during video calling. That is, if you don’t want to show your face during a video call to the person on the other end of the phone, you can use your animated avatar.

Meta said in a blog post that users will now get many options to show expressions while chatting as well as video calling through animated avatars. You can also join video calls with other users by slow clapping or hand waving. Even, avatar stickers can be used in Instagram and Facebook Stories, Reels, Comments or while chatting with someone on Instagram and Messenger.

Avatar stickers can now be seen everywhere

The avatar option can now be used in different chat applications on Meta. It can also express personal expression. As a result, it can be used as an emoji alternative from now on. Using avatars in video calls will improve the user experience and avatars can be created in any app and used elsewhere.

Will it be easier to create avatars?

Meta will soon bring new features to Facebook and WhatsApp, with which users can easily create their own avatars. There is also an option to create your own avatar within seconds by taking a selfie while live. But at the moment, if you want to create an avatar, you have to choose the shape of everything from the eyes to the nose and make it yourself.
